Philosys has been a member of the Unix community in Germany since 1988. After having founded the company, it was our goal and declared strategy to support developments in open source and with open standards.
In the course of 20 years, Philosys has built an extensive Unix-Know-how based on a various amount of projects in the field of Unix system programming, as well as the technical applications in the automotive as well as in other industries.
Philosys Software was founded in 1988 by the computer scientists Peter Göb, Horst Lauber, Emil Näpflein and Dr. Detlef Strehmel and it's currently owned and run by H. Lauber and E. Näpflein.
The remaining two owners still play active roles as project managers and developers.
